The Empire State Railway Museum is rebuilding a steam locomotive, #23, for use pulling an excursion train on the Catskill Mountain Railroad.

In the spring of 2006 I joined the Steam Team. This project has had a fairly low profile but I think that there is a high level of interest, at least within the rail fan community, for the details of the work being done. Since I want to keep a record of my work I decided to create a web page.

The Steam Team is directed and inspired by Earl Pardini, current president of the Catskill Mountain Railroad. He is also the owner of Davenport 0-4-0.

I'm up to my elbows in dirt, dust, grease and grime and loving every minute of it. We also work on other CMRR projects as needed.
